The Word of Christ

"Therefore leaving the teaching of the first principles of Christ, let us press on to perfection—not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment" (Hebrews 6:1-2). The teaching of Messiah, Christ, is the foundation of salvation and life with God. He is the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, our Teacher, and our Lord and Master. We begin and end our lives with His Word. This section follows the six foundational teachings in the order Scripture gives them, each with its own category: Repentance, Faith, Baptisms, Laying on of Hands, Resurrection of the Dead and Eternal Judgment. Its study "From the Father" shows that Christ's words, though He is God, came not from Himself but from His Father. Start with Repentance and work through each teaching in turn.
