Baptisms

Baptism is one of the foundational teachings of the Word of Christ listed in Hebrews 6:1-2, and Scripture speaks of it in the plural: "the teaching of baptisms." Under the New Covenant of Messiah Yeshua, Jesus, there are at least three: baptism into the Body of Christ, baptism in water, and baptism into the Holy Spirit. Each one carries its own truths and pictures, and each draws us into a deeper knowledge of God and closer union with Him. This section looks at what each baptism is, how they relate to one another, and why they matter for anyone who wants to walk with Yahweh. Whether you are new to faith and wondering what baptism means, or you have been baptized and want to understand it more fully, these teachings are meant to help you see the wonderful things God has given us through them. As further studies are added here, they will build on this foundation, following the order of Christ's own Word: repentance, faith, baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.
