Giving & Provision

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21). God Himself has given us the example of giving in order to receive, and He has given many commands and promises about it. When we know what He has promised, act on it in faith and do not give up, we can share in the same joy He knows through giving and receiving. This section brings together Bible teaching on giving and on Yahweh's provision. "The Foundation of Giving" shows that everything we have was first given to us, which lets us give rightly from what we hold as stewards (Luke 16:10-12). "Prospering by Yahweh" explains that He prospers those who give in faith, because He has promised to. The section also includes three related categories: Tithing, which studies the tenth from Abraham and Melchizedek to the New Covenant; Vowing, on promises made to God in faith; and The Poor, on giving from our abundance to those in need.
