Today
"Exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called 'today'; lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin" (Hebrews 3:13). Throughout Scripture, Yahweh is calling to His creation right now. Because God dwells outside of time, our ideas of past, present and future do not limit Him. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). He calls us to see from His perspective, that it is always "Today," so as long as we have breath, there is time to hear and obey. We are not to dwell on the past (Philippians 3:13-14) or depend on the future (James 4:13-14), but to hear and live today. This section explores that theme. "Our Daily Bread" shows we must ask our Father each day for words to live on. "Exhortation & the Deceitfulness of Sin" explains why believers must encourage one another daily. "Isaiah's Prophecy" looks at Jesus announcing "today" that He was anointed to heal and deliver (Luke 4:18-21).
